September 2008 Registration: Ages 2-5 Mornings Or Afternoons 2 day, 3 day or 5 day program.
Spring is just around the corner! February was the month for delays and snow days but we kept our heads up and prayed for spring. The children met with Della the hygienist and “Buddy” to learn about proper oral hygiene. They also talked about presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. The older classes celebrated 100 days of school by bringing in items they counted to 100 and then eating them. We ended February by learning how to be safe around electricity and learning old and new nursery rhymes.
Hopefully March will come and go like a lamb. We look forward to celebrating Easter and learning about nutrition. Some of the classes will be going to Little Chefs and making their own pizzas and desserts.
We are currently accepting registrations for September 2008. We offer 2, 3 and 5 day morning and afternoon classes for children ages 2-5. The classes are filling up quickly, so if you know of a child who needs a quality preschool program please feel free to stop in for a visit. On behalf of the preschool I would like to thank the church and congregation for their continued support.
Sincerely,
Barbara Laetzo, Director
The philosophy of the Monroe Presbyterian Preschool is based on the needs of preschool children. Preschoolers are open, curious and eager. They are alive with a sense of wonder and have an inherent desire to learn. They need to experiment, to explore and to discover the world around them in order to start to understand their world. Their reality lies in what can be seen, heard, smelled, touched and tasted. For this reason our program is strongly rooted in their developmental growth process.
We believe that a child’s development is sequential. What the child experiences and learns during the preschool years will provide the foundation needed for kindergarten
We will provide an atmosphere that encourages all of the skills needed to help your child grow and have a positive attitude toward school.
We work closely with the Monroe Woodbury School System in developing our program so that we can best prepare the children for kindergarten.
